Squish is about giving children and carers access to the unique happiness and stimulation that creativity can bring, creating a space with our sessions where babies can feel safe to grow.
We advocate for slow, sustainable play and use household sensory materials such as homemade playdough to squish, cardboard boxes to hide in and coloured rice to shake. Through sensory play, young children can develop fine motor skills, language development and non-verbal communication, as well as engaging their tiny imaginations.
Artists and carers are brought together for practices that nurture connection at a gentler, slower pace. We’ve developed a programme of radical and experimental approaches to early years’ play
